On a Side Note...
Fuckkk. I am fucking tired. Yes that's how tired I am.
Got up at 8 and set out for the Level 1 climbing course this morning. Yeap, that one course which FOUR friends eventually decided not sign up for because they were either lazy / busy.
Right now I am dead beat, can't wait to jump into bed once I'm done with this post. It was a good experience, and I enhanced my knowledge on sport climbing. The Level 2 course is being conducted on the next weekend. I might sign up for it since the subsequent one is in March.

These are some of the energetic people that I got to know today. They make me feel even younger, 'cos many of the young participants are only 16. They make me feel 18!?

The indoor bouldering gym packs a challenge. I'm likely to visit it soon with friends since it doesn't require any belaying, and it's air-conditioned.

This is me attempting the 25m wall, without much luck.

I almost made it all the way up on my 1st attempt, with only three more tiles to clear, but fatigue overtook me eventually. On my 2nd try, I fared poorer with 5 more tiles to clear. I need to improve on my stamina and arm strength!

That is what Sport Climbing Level 1 covers in general. It focuses more on the safety aspect and belaying, without much emphasis on climbing. Level 2 focuses more on lead climbing, and prussiking. Yeap, prussiking. Not pussyking. Google it for more info.
So anyway, without any experience or knowledge on crack climbing, I decided to give it a try. Here's a short storyboard on my first attempt:

Mission accomplished!
Well I think that I managed to grasp the essence of climbing. As taught by the instructor, "It doesn't matter if you are NOT GOOD at climbing. Just LOOK GOOD during your climbing." Sports climbing is an egoistic sport.
